Weatherizing your home can help save you money by saving energy. It can also improve the comfort and efficiency of your home.
NEOCAA’s Weatherization Assistance offers income-eligible households energy-saving measures that provide long-term relief by reducing energy bills $350 each year on average .
To help you understand the whole picture of your home’s energy use and to determine what weatherization measures may be needed, our professional weatherization personnel will conduct an energy audit of your home.
An energy audit may recommend:
• Installation of Insulation in Attic, Floor, Wall, Water Heater and/or Exposed Pipes
• Repairs for Heating Units
• Weather Strip and Caulk
• Door and Window Repairs or Replacement
• Energy-Saving Lighting
• Checking Major Appliances for Occupant Safety and Energy Savings
Required Information to Receive Weatherization Assistance
• Completed application (Make sure all pages are signed and dated.)
• Employment verification for each household member working over the age of 18.
• Copy of electric bill (most recent bill).
• Proof of family income (Verification of Employment form completed by your employer) or your award letter from Social Security. (NO BANK STATEMENTS.) If no income statement is signed, it must be notarized.
• Renters require a signed landlord program rental agreement. (Form is in the packet.)
Do You Qualify for Weatherization Assistance?
Eligible applicants are low-income individuals and priority is given to the elderly, handicapped and families with small children. Applicants can either own or rent their home.
Weatherization applications are based on all the combined factors and are recorded by receipt date. We provide weatherization assistance in the five counties NEOCAA servers, as well as Muskogee County, so there is a waiting list for this service. Your patience is appreciated.
